Continued support for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with completion of Jubilee Wing

A programme of refurbishment works altering the accommodation of the Jubilee Wing of Leeds General Infirmary, involving changes to the equipment pool and specific clinical engineering functions, is now complete.

The scheme was delivered under another tight deadline given the amount and nature of the works involved. We ensure specific planning of resources for the best outcome and as a result, the project was handed over to the agreed programme.

Like many of our works over the past year, the scheme was carried out during the pandemic and brought about a need to plan works effectively to ensure social distancing and additional safety measure could be put in place and achieved.

The Jubilee Wing at Leeds Royal Infirmary is home;

  • Children’s Dialysis,
  • Clinical Decisions Unit,
  • Major Trauma,
  • Cardiology,
  • Vascular,
  • Neurology,
  • Plastics,
  • Ear, Nose & Throat,
  • Neuro,
  • Adult General ICU & High Dependency Unit,
  • Orthoplastics High Dependency Unit.

It is also the former home of the Stroke Rehabilitation Centre, which had to be moved over to Chapel Allerton Hospital to accommodate the growing number of Covid-19 patients at the time.
