I&G projects show excellence in construction

Two I&G projects were celebrated at this year’s Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber Awards 2026.

We proudly celebrated alongside partners Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds Hospitals Charity, Corstorphine & Wright, Drees & Sommer and Curtins as The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease won three awards.

The project, which came together through collaboration, teamwork and a real partnership, won awards for Building Project of the Year and Integration & Collaborative Working.

And we were absolutely blown away at the end of the night when the project was announced as the ‘Best of the Best’ winner too.

We’re so proud to be part of the team that brought this vision to life, and delighted that the Centre is getting the recognition it deserves. Every single person involved worked so hard to create something special that will change lives.

The Health Sciences Library, which was delivered in partnership with the University of Leeds, HLM Architects, Gardiner & Theobald LLP, Associated Architects and CPW, was highly commended in the Retrofit category too.

The Health Sciences Library is not only visually stunning, but built in a sustainable way using a space that already existed. It took collaboration and teamwork to turn it into a practical, inclusive and beautiful space which students and other building users would enjoy spending time in.

The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease will now go on to represent Yorkshire at the national Constructing Excellence Awards later this year.
